Versailles 400

About the Project

To mark the 400th anniversary of the Château de Versailles, Jean-Michel Jarre performed a mixed-reality concert from the Hall of Mirrors. The event blended physical and virtual spaces, with Jarre using a LYNX Mixed Reality headset to navigate a digital reimagining of the iconic gallery. The virtual environment included AI-generated visuals inspired by architecture, motion design, and optical art.

The concert was attended by an audience onsite and made accessible worldwide through a multi-platform broadcast. It was streamed on W9 (TV), RTL (radio), YouTube, Eurovision/EBU, and immersive platforms like VRROOM, available via VR headsets and desktop. The event was supported by UNESCO, the French Ministry of Culture, the Château de Versailles, and XR partners including LYNX and VRROOM

Visual design

We created a complete visual identity for the communication campaign:
• Poster layouts adapted for both print and digital
• Visuals for online media, and partner platforms
• Templates for stories, feeds, and event countdowns on Instagram and Facebook
Our design work reflected the hybrid nature of the event — blending classical architecture with immersive, futuristic elements.

Video production

Our team edited a series of short-format videos to support the communication across different stages:
• Teasers to announce the event and build momentum
• Trailers for broadcast and online platforms
• Tutorials showcasing how to access the VR experience or explore the digital Hall of Mirrors
• Highlight reels and recap content post-event
All videos were delivered in multiple formats and exported for compatibility with each platform’s best practices.
